After attending Drew University, I found myself living with my husband in North Carolina, working across various industries, including financial, bank, stock… even sports marketing! I was able to work with many teams across various projects, which was a huge stepping stone to where I currently am, professionally.
Then one night when I was at an event, I was served a sub – par cup of coffee.
It hit me.
“What if there was someone, or a team, dedicated to providing a delicious and carefully created beverage for an event?” This would (literally) leave a good taste in one’s mouth and when they recalled an event, that delicious beverage would be the icing on the cake. It seemed so simple, yet I had not seen anything like it, to date.
So, Cupa Cabana was born. It was my way of diving into the hospitality pool. I began to serve at different events, learning this and that along the way.
Little did I know that this industry would cause my life, and career, such a splash.
For over 20 years I’ve had the pleasure of meeting, speaking with, and learning from the top hospitality leaders in the country. I’ve had a chance to serve the renowned guests of Fortune 100 companies, and am given the opportunity to work alongside their powerful, successful and bright teams. From Good Morning America, to Dr. Oz, I was floored at the opportunities that were presented to me!
From this experience, I’ve begun to reach out to other professionals in the hospitality industry to create both professional and social relationships. Learning is a two-way street – and I am excited to be sharing my thoughts and experiences with you, here.
